The Weathering Magazine is a modeling magazine in which every issue holds to one subject and goes through it from beginning to end. Issue 32 is devoted to accessories, that is, to what accompanies a model and gives it a story. The text is in English, which with this kind of literature is rarely an obstacle: the procedures are led step by step and accompanied by photographs of the individual stages, so even a reader with a basic knowledge of the language can tell what was done at each stage.
It is for the modeler who can already build and paint a model and is looking for a way to make it into something that looks used. Builders of vehicles, dioramas and figures will appreciate it. The magazine also reads as visual inspiration, because the finished work shows how far finishing can be taken and when it is better to stop.
You will get the most out of it if you try a chosen procedure on a scrap piece of plastic first and only then on a model. The preparations used are named in the articles, but you will manage most of the effects with materials you have at home; what matters is the order of the steps and the degree, not a particular brand.
