U-STAR Transparent Grinding Plate Red is a transparent sanding pad in a red version for flat sanding and leveling of small parts.

A rigid thin pad with an abrasive surface from the workshop range of the U-STAR brand. It serves for flat sanding of small modeling parts, that is, for the work at which sanding paper held in the hand fails, because it flexes under the fingers and the edge then comes out rounded. On a flat pad a part is led with a smooth stroke and the result is a square edge or a precisely leveled gluing surface.
Lay the pad on a firm surface and lead the part over it with light strokes in one direction, without pressure. Check the work against the light as you go and turn the part, so that the material is removed evenly. With softer plastics it pays to sand wet, as water carries the dust away and the abrasive surface does not clog as much. When finished, rinse the pad and let it dry freely, so that no remains of material harden on it.
For modelers who care about clean seams and precisely mating parts, and for everyone who works with resin, photo-etched parts or metal profiles and needs a reliably flat abrasive surface at hand.
Do not inhale the sanding dust; work in a well-ventilated space, ideally wet. Store the pad out of reach of children.
