A kit of the classic balsa hand-launched glider Trempik from the Czech manufacturer Pelikan, with a wingspan of 575 mm. It is a simple free-flight model of all-balsa construction with paper covering, ideal for getting to know the basics of model building and classic paper covering. It is supplied as a kit to be assembled.
A hand-launched glider is a free-flight model that is launched from the hand and glides without power. Thanks to its clear full-size plan and pre-prepared parts, the Trempik suits beginners as well as school and club teaching. The package usually holds cut and sanded balsa parts for the fuselage, wing and tail surfaces, spruce spars, balance weight, covering paper, a rubber band for holding the wing, decals and instructions.
Glue the parts together according to the plan, cover the surfaces with paper and secure them. The wing is usually held on with a rubber band, which lets it release in a harder landing. Before flying, balance the model by adding weight to the nose and trim it so that it glides smoothly; fly in calm air and preferably over soft ground.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
