Dark green grass tufts (Plus Model)

Ready-made grass tufts in a dark green shade made for building dioramas, display bases and model landscape. It is a scenic accessory, not a kit and not a paint. The tufts are placed on the ground one by one, which lets you build the cover irregularly, exactly where it would grow in reality, and that is far more natural than a continuous green carpet.

Use

• along the edges of tracks, at the foot of fences, walls and stumps, where grass really holds on longest
• to break up the flat areas of a base and to hide the transition between the terrain and the base
• to emphasize unevenness in the terrain, in hollows and along the edges of puddles
• to complete the traces left by vehicles, where a tuft survives only outside the ruts

Work tips

Place the tufts one at a time, in irregular clusters and at varying distances; a regular grid gives a scene away at once. If a tuft holds by its own adhesive underside, it is still a good idea to secure the joint with a drop of thinned PVA glue so that it does not come loose over time. Individual tufts can be trimmed with scissors to different heights before being stuck down, or thinned out with tweezers. The dark green shade works best in shaded parts and in combination with a few lighter or dried-out tufts, which give a scene depth. Once dry, the cover can be lightly oversprayed with a muted shade or dusted with pigment so that it fits the overall key of the scene.

Suitable for beginners too, because working with ready-made tufts is considerably easier than sprinkling static grass.
