Tamiya TS-75 Champagne Gold — lacquer spray 100 ml

A spray paint from Tamiya in the TS range. It is a synthetic lacquer with a fine metallic effect in a champagne gold shade. It dries fast and forms a smooth, durable surface; the 100 ml spray covers roughly two to three car bodies in 1:24 scale. Champagne gold is a warm, softly golden metallic shade that suits decorative elements, accessories and whole areas wherever a surface should shine discreetly.

Use

• spraying large areas and sizeable parts
• shake the can thoroughly before and during use, as the metallic pigment settles at the bottom
• metallic shades show at their best on a smooth, ideally glossy dark base
• spray in thin coats from a distance of roughly 25 to 30 cm
• metallic lacquers mask and overspray less well, so apply them at the end of the painting
• the final sheen can be evened out with a clear coat, which also protects the metallic surface

What to watch out for

The TS range is a lacquer — it takes overspraying with enamel and acrylic, so details can be painted in once it is dry. It is not suitable for the clear polycarbonate (Lexan) bodies of RC models; the Tamiya PS range serves for those.
