The DSPIAE 2.4 mm tungsten steel drill bit is a single modeling bit for plastic. The drilled hole is only the first step; it is the cleaning up and the gluing that decide the result.
Responsibility details are not available.
A single diameter from the DSPIAE modeling range, intended for drilling into the plastic of kits. According to the name, the material is tungsten steel and the size 2.4 mm. The drive is not included, as the bit is held in a pin vise or a micro drill.
A drilled hole in plastic always has some burr. On the exit side a burr of displaced material forms, which keeps the part being seated from sitting down and stands out unpleasantly once paint is sprayed on. Remove it with a brief turn of a larger bit by hand, with a scraper or with the tip of a scalpel. Chips stay inside the hole and need blowing or sweeping out with a brush, otherwise the seated part will settle crooked.
Only then glue. Metal seats best in a drilled hole with super glue, while plastic into plastic takes even thin modeling cement. If you fill the joint with putty, count on having to prime the spot again after sanding, because sanded putty and plastic take paint differently.
For the modeler who does not drill holes merely for effect but seats further parts in them and wants the whole sequence from drilling to painting under control.
Sharp tip, keep out of the reach of children. Remove chips with a brush, not by blowing with your mouth.
