A set of five shaped sanding sticks A1 to A5 in the 9 mm width version. A wider tool has a greater working area, so it levels a longer gap or a filled seam faster and sinks less into soft material as you work. That comes in useful especially on larger models, where a flat surface has to be kept over a longer stretch. The particular material and the grit of the abrasive layer are on the packaging of the set.

Who the set is for

The nine-millimeter version will be appreciated above all by builders of larger models, that is military vehicles in 1:35 scale, cars in 1:24 or aircraft in 1:32 and 1:48. A wider sanding stick keeps a flat surface better than a narrow one, and with the same number of strokes you will remove more material. Into cramped places between details, by contrast, the narrower versions of the same set get better, so the two widths complement each other. The set holds the same five shapes as the other versions of the range and differs only in the width of the tool. As you work, draw the sanding stick in long strokes in one direction and keep checking the surface against the light, as unevenness is then revealed before a base coat covers it. Knock a clogged abrasive layer out or brush it carefully, and the tool will last substantially longer by it.

When sanding plastic and filler, work in a well ventilated space and protect your airways, as fine dust is easily inhaled. Keep tools out of the reach of children.
