Tyrrell Blue (17ml)

Real Colors RC843 Tyrrell Blue, 17 ml

A modeling acrylic paint from the Real Colors range by AK Interactive, the manufacturer's part number RC843, in a 17 ml package. The shade is listed under the name Tyrrell Blue, a designation associated with the Formula 1 team. In color it is a deep blue.

Where you will use the shade

The main place is the bodywork of a model racing car, where the blue forms a continuous area broken only by additional stripes and numbers. Away from racing subjects it serves just as well on road cars, on motorcycle fairings and on accessories where you are looking for a deep blue with no shift toward purple.

How to work with the paint

• Stir the contents well before taking any out; the pigment settles at the bottom.
• A deep blue comes out best over a light base; over a gray primer it looks darker and duller.
• Apply several thin coats and let them dry in between; one heavy coat floods the surface detail.
• For thinning and for cleaning tools, use the thinner intended for the Real Colors range; the ratio is given in the manufacturer's instructions.
• Make a test coat on scrap plastic with the same base the model will have.

Storage and packaging

Close the bottle carefully and store it away from heat and frost. Paint that has thickened can be thinned, but check the final tone on a test sample.

The package contains one bottle of paint of 17 ml. Thinner, brushes, an airbrush and the model are not included, unless stated otherwise.
