The British desert shade Light Mud from the Lifecolor acrylic line belongs to the group of British camouflage tones and forms the light base on which later dusting only then stands out.

A light muddy tone that formed the large areas of British desert camouflage. The shade lies in the part of the line of the Italian brand Lifecolor devoted to British camouflage colors, and its neighbors carry British camouflage designations, so it fits the same period and the same vehicles.
Painting desert vehicles is largely a matter of what comes afterward. Dust, mud and faded areas reach a model only after the covering coat, and a light base tone is the only thing this build-up can be built on. When the lower shade is too dark or too raw, the later dust layers have nothing to contrast with and the surface stays flat. A light muddy tone gives the following layers room.
A light desert tone is a beginning, not an end. Above it you work with the emphasis of engraved detail, with dust layers and with the fading of large areas. That is exactly why it pays to apply it evenly and in thin coats, so that the surface stays legible for everything that comes after it.
For modelers who build British vehicles of the North African and Middle Eastern campaigns, and for diorama builders who need a light earthy tone as a starting point for further layers.
Stir the contents of the container before work; acrylic shades with a higher pigment content settle at the bottom.
Keep out of the reach of children. Ventilate while working and close the container carefully after use.
