A dark blue-gray tone, listed in the range under the designation UA589 and under the French name Gris Bleu Foncé, that is, dark blue-gray. Shades of this type suit everywhere a pure gray would look flat and a pure blue, on the other hand, too rich: on the upper surfaces of aircraft, on naval subjects and to round out a palette of one's own between gray and blue.
Stir the contents thoroughly before use, as the pigment settles at the bottom. Choose the thinner and the thinning ratio as instructed by the manufacturer on the packaging and use the thinner intended for this range. Apply in several thin coats; dark shades do cover well, but one heavy coat will flood the engraving and rob the model of the detail you wanted to be able to see on it.
The paint will be appreciated by modelers who work with French subjects or are building a palette of dark blue-gray tones and do not want to mix them afresh every time. It also suits as a darker complement to gray shades, with which the transitions between the upper and the side surfaces can be worked. The package contains the paint. Thinner, brushes, an airbrush and the model are not part of it, unless stated otherwise.
