A gold from the Real Colors range by AK Interactive in a bottle of 17 ml. The name ties it to wheel rims, that is to the place where a gold tone really does appear on machines and where every unevenness of the coat catches the eye. The range contains several gold shades, and this one is set aside for wheels.
On the rims and hubs of the wheels of vehicle models, on center nuts and on the small suspension parts that are painted in the same tone. Away from wheels it will serve wherever you need a gold shade on a small area, that is on accessories, on frames and on details for a display case. On large areas, by contrast, a gold tone easily looks gaudy, so it pays to keep it to small items.
Stir the paint thoroughly before use; with gold shades that counts twice over, because the pigment settles quickly. The base has to be smooth, washed and degreased; on wheels every sanding scratch shows more plainly than elsewhere. Apply it in thin coats and let the paint set between them, as a single heavy coat makes streaks and wipes out the subtlety of the shade. Separate the rim from the tire with a mask stuck down before spraying and take the mask off only once it has dried. Deal with thinning and cleaning the tools according to the manufacturer's data.
For the modeler who builds vehicles and wants the wheels finished in a shade from the same range as the rest of the model. The package contains only the paint, 17 ml; thinner, primer, masks and tools are not included, unless stated otherwise.
