The Lifecolor UA7001 paint in the shade of weathered steel, that is, Weathered Steel. For metal surfaces that are not meant to look new.
Responsibility details are not available.
The shade listed under the designation UA7001 from the Lifecolor range is named after weathered steel, that is, Weathered Steel. New steel is light and cool, whereas steel darkens in time, loses its brightness and goes over into a gray with a hint of warmth. It is precisely such a look that the shade is meant to stand for, so that a metal surface does not look freshly manufactured.
It suits places where metal wears and where a shiny silver finish would look unnatural: on tracks and road wheels, on shovels and digging tools, on gun barrels, exhausts, boiler parts and on the scuffed places of a finish where the bare material shows through. It also finds use as a subdued ground onto which a lighter shine is then added only at points on the edges.
Stir the contents thoroughly, as with shades of this type the sediment shows up at once in uneven coverage. It is applied in light coats; when applying with a brush, lead the strokes in one direction, because uneven strokes are more visible on a metal look than on a matte color. For an airbrush, thin the paint with the thinner intended for this range as instructed by the manufacturer on the packaging. Sharp edges and surfaces scuffed in service can be emphasized by applying the shade with a dry brush over an already dried base coat.
The delivery contains the shade of paint named. The model, thinner, brushes and varnishes are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
