The base of every flesh on a figure is a medium tone, and that is what Flesh 1 Base offers: a water-based acrylic paint that shading and highlights start from.
Responsibility details are not available.
The order in painting flesh has its logic: first the overall base, only then the shadows and highlights. Flesh 1 Base is a water-based acrylic paint that provides this first step in the first flesh line: it covers the whole surface of the skin and determines where the whole face will go in color.
Why the base decides
A mistake in the starting tone cannot be put right by a shadow or a highlight. When the base is too pink, a figure stays pink even once finished; when it is too yellow, the shadows will be unnatural too. It therefore pays to apply the base in a thin, even coat and to let the whole area really become unified before you set about the further steps. Repeatability is just as important: when you have a group of people in front of you, you want to be sure that the third figure comes out the same as the first.
The paint will be used by modelers of figures, busts and dioramas who want flesh built systematically and repeatably. It also suits those who are only beginning to devote themselves to figures, because a ready starting tone removes the most common source of failure, a badly mixed basic flesh. It also suits when you come back to an unfinished figure after a longer time and need to follow on from the tone you used before.
Do not swallow the paint; keep out of the reach of children. Ventilate and protect your airways when spraying.
