US Marines WWII Set

US Marines WWII Set

A themed set of paints from AMMO of Mig Jimenez put together for painting figures, uniforms and equipment of the US Marine Corps of the Second World War period. It is not a kit nor an accessory for a model - these are paints in bottles, which you choose according to what you are building.

The type of paint and thinning - read before buying

These are water-based acrylic paints. They are thinned with the acrylic thinner of the same maker, or with distilled water. Lacquer (cellulose) and synthetic thinners do not belong in them - they would curdle the paint and ruin it. It is not a lacquer, so the set can be applied over an acrylic base without worry.

Use

• Painting uniforms, equipment, webbing and small arms on figures in the larger scales
• Brush and airbrush alike; always thin the paint for an airbrush, as unthinned paint atomizes less well
• Shake the bottle thoroughly before every use - the pigment settles to the bottom
• Work in thin covering coats and let them dry through, or the details of the casting will be lost
• A primer pays off, and a matte varnish at the end unifies the gloss

Who the set is for

For modelers who build figures and vehicles of American units from the fighting in the Pacific, and for anyone who wants the shades for one subject together instead of collecting them one bottle at a time. The labels of the shades are in English.

Keep out of the reach of children, work in a ventilated room and use a respirator when spraying. The number of bottles, their volume and the list of shades are not stated here.
