The Mini Saw Set is a tool for the modeling bench, not a kit. Compared with bare saw blades that have to be clamped into a scalpel handle, this item is a complete outfit: the saws plus a handle with a soft grip. You notice the difference above all during a longer cut, when a hard metal handle presses into your fingers, whereas a soft grip keeps the hand steady and the cut stays straight.

Use

• parting plastic parts, sections, tube and rod to length
• cutting off the sprue nub on a part too thin or too brittle for nippers
• shortening metal pins and wire while building accessories
• a cut in a place an ordinary modeling saw cannot reach, between finished parts of an assembly for instance

Who it is for

For modelers who regularly modify parts, build conversions and dioramas or work with sections and tube. It is useful wherever a cut has to be led slowly and accurately as well: on resin parts, where a knife risks slipping, and on parts that snap.
