Freedom Model Kits USAF F-16C/D Block 50 is a caricature kit from the egg and cute models line with American markings. The model has stylized proportions, so no scale is given for it.

A plastic kit in a stylized form in which the fuselage is foreshortened and the canopy deliberately oversized. The name gives the single-seat F-16C and the two-seat F-16D in the Block 50 form in the markings of the US Air Force. The egg and cute models line aims at a quick and undemanding build; the finished model is small and easy to work with even in a limited space.
The F-16 in the Block 50 form belongs to the later series of the single-engine multirole aircraft. The single-seat C version and the two-seat D version share most of their equipment and differ mainly in the layout of the cockpit; the two-seaters are used for training as well as for tasks where a second crew member is an advantage. The type is widespread among a number of operators, which makes it one of the most frequently built aircraft subjects.
The stylized shape tempts you into a quick build, but on a short fuselage every imperfect joint shows. Once the halves are glued, let the glue harden overnight and only then level the seams by sanding. The gray finish of the American machines looks best when it is laid on in two passes: the base shade and then a fine brightening of the centers of the panels. Apply the metallic shades on the exhaust nozzle at the very end and do not mask them with tape, because metallic pigments are easily damaged. Lay the decals with the national insignia over a gloss base, otherwise a white edge will stay under them.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
