V-grooves every one millimeter on a thin plastic sheet 0.50 mm thick. Format 15 x 30 cm.
Responsibility details are not available.
The grooves here repeat exactly every millimeter, which is a conversion of forty thousandths of an inch, and they are just pronounced enough to be seen without overpowering the rest of the build. The material is half a millimeter, the sheet area 15 x 30 cm. The combination of thin plastic and a medium step makes this variant the most versatile piece of the whole group.
In 1:35 scale the groove corresponds to a board 3.5 cm wide, in 1:48 scale to 4.8 cm and in 1:24 scale to 2.4 cm. It fits best on double garage doors, on a hatch in a floor, on the wooden boarding of a cargo bed or on a makeshift boarded-up window in a ruin. The doors need only be cut as two rectangles, with vertical strips glued to the face and a small hinge from an offcut of photo-etch in the middle.
The difference between boards is helped by roughening every second one slightly with abrasive paper along the groove. After painting the base brown, go over the surface with a very thin gray and let it run into the joints; only then highlight the edges with a dry brush. Glue boards nailed over a broken window crooked, never parallel, otherwise it looks like a factory-made shutter. Suggest the nail heads with a blunt needle.
