The coarsest scribed sheet in the range. A spacing of 6.3 mm corresponds to a quarter of an inch, the groove goes 0.93 mm deep and the sheet measures one millimeter in thickness. Sheet 150 x 300 mm.

Six and three tenths of a millimeter between the grooves is a quarter of an inch and at the same time the largest spacing the brand makes in this pattern. The groove takes ninety-three hundredths of a millimeter and the carrier sheet measures only seven hundredths more, so the bottom of the groove practically reaches the back. The sheet is therefore more a set of boards laid side by side and held by a thin membrane than a solid sheet, and it has to be handled accordingly.
The accuracy of the whole part is decided on the first edge, because everything else is measured from it. The proven procedure has three steps. First the sheet is laid on a smooth surface, not on a soft foam mat, because that bows under the knife. Then a metal ruler is held against it, ideally a heavy one with a non-slip back, and the point is run along it, with the ruler lying on the part that is to remain. Finally the edge is checked by holding it against a pane of glass toward the light: any gap shows up at once. Remaining deviations are trued with abrasive paper stretched on glass, and the sheet is run over it with its whole surface, not at right angles to the edge.
In 1:12 scale the spacing gives a plank roughly seven and a half centimeters wide, in 1:18 scale over eleven. The pattern is used for large diorama floors, for ship decks, for roughly nailed crates and for platforms with boards laid edge to edge. In smaller scales, doors of wide boards or the cladding of a hall can be made from it.
