Twenty-seven centimeters of wingspan for the youngest

This model aims expressly at children. The manufacturer recommends flying from about six years old and the build itself from eight, which is a difference that makes sense: a father or a club leader puts the model together and the child then flies it. The wingspan is 270 mm, the length of the fuselage 340 mm and the finished model weighs at least eight grams. The small wingspan at the same time means that the machine does not fly far and the builder does not have to run across a whole meadow after it.

The structure is listed as robust, though less durable than on some of the larger siblings in the same line. In practice that means it will survive ordinary landings but will not take rough handling. The advantage is that after a failed landing it is easy to repair: a broken part is simply glued back and you fly on, so a first crash does not mean the end of the fun. On models for children that quality matters more than flight performance, because it decides whether the builder comes back a second time.

As for the weather, the model is intended rather for calmer days. In calm air flights of up to one minute are reached according to the manufacturer, which is a fine performance for such a small glider and in practice means the model flies unexpectedly far. It is therefore worth choosing a space with no tall trees and no water nearby. The morning or the early evening tends to be best, when the air is calmest; a stronger gust carries a light machine aside before the flight has settled.

The package consists of laser-cut parts in a clear layout. Glue, pins and tools are not included and the surface finish remains up to the builder. Wood glue, pins and a flat working board are all you need.
