A 3D-printed set of pickaxes in 1:35 scale for completing models of German vehicles of the Second World War. A detail accessory for a kit, not a model.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of small tools in 1:35 scale from the Czech manufacturer Eduard, made by 3D printing. It holds pickaxes, that is, the tools that were carried on German vehicles of the Second World War fixed to the hull or to the fenders. It is not a vehicle kit but an accessory with which you give a model finer detail.
Tools molded straight onto the hull have soft shapes and never look like separate objects. The printed parts have sharp edges, a thin handle and a clean surface with no mold seam, so once painted they clearly set wood apart from metal.
Separate the parts from the print supports with a sharp knife or a fine saw, sand the remains back and rinse the components. The material is harder and more brittle than injection-molded plastic, so do not snap it and glue it with super glue; ordinary cement for polystyrene will not bite into it. If you are fitting the tools where the original relief is, sand that away first. Paint thinly, set wood and metal apart in both shade and sheen, and finish with a wash that emphasizes the shape and with fine highlights on the cutting edges.
The set is an accessory for a kit. The model, the glue and the paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
