About product

WWII RAF - Dark Slate Grey (Mr.Paint)

A pre-thinned lacquer (acrylic lacquer) modeling paint from the Mr.Paint brand, designed exclusively for airbrush application. The shade matches the British dark slate gray-green Dark Slate Grey, which the RAF used during the Second World War on the upper surfaces of the naval camouflage scheme (Temperate Sea Scheme) together with Extra Dark Sea Grey. This was a scheme for aircraft operating over the sea and coast (coastal and carrier-based aviation). The paint is ready to spray straight from the bottle, has fine pigment, good coverage, dries quickly, and leaves a semigloss surface. The bottle holds 30 ml.

Use

  • Upper surfaces of British RAF aircraft in the Second World War naval camouflage scheme
  • Camouflage for aircraft operating over the sea and coast (coastal and carrier-based aviation)
  • Apply with an airbrush in thin coats, ideally over a quality primer
  • If needed, thin with the matching lacquer thinner from the same brand

Who it is for

For modelers building British RAF aircraft from the Second World War who work with an airbrush and want an exact shade for authentic camouflage. Suitable for plastic, resin, and metal.

A lacquer (nitro) product — highly flammable. Use only with an airbrush in a well-ventilated space or a spray booth, wear a respirator, and protect your skin and eyes. Keep out of the reach of children, open flame, and sources of sparks.
