An injection-molded plastic kit of the Tupolev Tu-134UBL trainer in 1:72 scale from the manufacturer Amodel. It is a short-run model with fine parts. The set is meant to be glued together and painted.
The Tu-134 was a proven Soviet twin-engined jet airliner. The Tu-134UBL version came about as a trainer for preparing the crews of heavy bombers, and its recognition feature is a markedly lengthened pointed nose recalling the profile of long-range bombers. The aircraft served with the air force on training and navigation duties.
Short-run models call for more careful cleaning up of the parts, a dry run and sometimes a little filling of the joints. On a twin-engined aircraft, take care to seat the engine nacelles and the tail correctly. Prepare the large wing and fuselage surfaces for an even spray with an airbrush. Metal and gray finishes show at their best with gentle highlighting of the panel lines.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
