Xtreme Cleaner for Xtreme Metal metallic paints

A cleaner from the AK Interactive Xtreme Metal range. It is intended to get the airbrush and the tools back, after spraying the metallic paints of this range, into a state in which you can use them on the next color.

Why metallic paints want thorough cleaning

Metallic shades carry a pigment that settles in every crevice of the cup, in the channel of the nozzle and on the needle. While it is still wet it wipes off easily; once it dries it holds firmly and comes off considerably less easily. A remnant of metal pigment in an airbrush can also make itself known at the moment you are spraying a completely different color and glossy specks appear in the finish. It therefore pays to clean straight away, not at the end of the evening.

How to work with it

• Clean immediately after you finish spraying, while the remaining paint is still wet.
• Flush the cup and wipe the needle with a stroke toward the tip, so that it does not bend.
• Never touch the nozzle with a metal point, because a scratched channel no longer sprays evenly.
• Dismantle the airbrush only as far as its own instructions describe.
• Use the thinner recommended by the paint manufacturer for thinning the paint; the cleaner is for cleaning, not for thinning.

Safety and storage

Work in a well ventilated room, away from open flame and sources of sparks, and close the container carefully after use. Keep it out of reach of children and follow the instructions and the warning symbols on the packaging, because those are binding for handling the product.
