The ZETA hand-launched glider is a simple unpowered glider made of tough EPO foam in a white and blue finish, with a wingspan of 500 mm. It is not a classic plastic kit but a light free-flight model, which once put together from a few parts is set flying by a throw of the hand. The foam structure is springy and resistant to impacts, so the model suits beginners and younger pilots as well.
Hand-launched gliders serve to practice trimming, adjustment and the reading of flight behavior without any need for power or a transmitter. The ZETA with its 500 mm span offers a calm, stable flight and suits open ground, meadows and parks. With the right trim and setting, long gliding flights can be achieved.
Usually it is enough to join the parts and, if need be, add a suitable foam-safe glue (do not use aggressive super glues, which attack foam). Trim the model by adding or taking away ballast at the nose so that it glides smoothly and does not stall. Fly in calm air or a gentle breeze, and make the throw smoothly, slightly upward.
The model is supplied as a foam kit for simple assembly. Glue and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
