0.5 mm Phillips screw is a set of imitation screws with a cross slot of 0.5 mm size. It fills out the detail where the head of a cross-slot screw is to be visible on a model.

A modeling accessory for places where the subject uses a screw with a cross slot, typically caps, service panels, lamp brackets or accessories mounted on a hull. A molded detail of this kind tends to be only suggested on kit parts and after sanding it disappears altogether; a replacement part is fitted into a drilled hole and the shape of the slot stays legible even once painted. The 0.5 mm size is the finest step of the range offered.
The 0.5 mm size corresponds in 1:35 scale to roughly 18 mm of real size, in 1:48 to about 24 mm and in 1:72 to approximately 36 mm. It is therefore ideal for small joints in the large scales, while for conspicuous screws in the small scales reach rather for a larger step: the range continues with the sizes 0.7, 1, 1.2 and 1.5 mm.
It suits builders of modern and historical vehicles, car modelers and anyone who wants to replace a coarse molded detail. The work is fine, but anyone who can handle a pin vise and tweezers will pick it up.
The accessory is supplied unpainted. Glue, paints and a pin vise are not included in the package.
