JM-1 was the designation under which the US Navy operated a proven American twin-engine combat aircraft in an auxiliary role, mainly as a tug for practice targets. The basis was a powerful twin-engine aircraft of the Second World War that made its name in combat service with the land-based air arm. In naval colors it served away from the front line and helped with crew training. The unusual name Joe's Banana Boat belonged to one particular aircraft of this service.
Use liquid cement for plastic and work in subassemblies. Finish and paint the cockpit before you close up the fuselage. Lay down a primer before the color coats and apply the paint with an airbrush; striking naval color schemes and conspicuous markings are best appreciated on a smooth, well-prepared base. Apply the decals over a gloss clear coat so that no silvered edges appear.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
