The plastic kit Mark I 1:144 Wessex HAS.3/HAS.31B represents the British Westland Wessex anti-submarine helicopter in the HAS.3 and the Australian HAS.31B versions.
Responsibility details are not available.
This injection-molded plastic kit in 1:144 scale captures the British multirole Westland Wessex helicopter in the HAS.3 version for the Royal Navy and in the corresponding Australian HAS.31B version. The package holds clear parts for the cabin and the windows and a decal sheet with several marking options.
The Westland Wessex was a British licensed development of the American Sikorsky S-58, powered, unlike its original, by a turbine engine. The HAS.3 version was an anti-submarine conversion with improved avionics and a characteristic radar housing on the rear of the fuselage. The Royal Australian Navy operated similarly converted machines under the designation HAS.31B.
Thanks to the small scale the model suits a shelf and works as an accessory to ship models. Clean the joints of the fuselage up and fill them if necessary, and glue the clear parts with canopy glue. Apply the paint with an airbrush; for naval schemes matte shades are the right choice, and bring out the panel lines with a fine wash.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
