It is therefore not a production car as built but its converted form with a widened body. The maker is Aoshima of Japan. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted, and the exact contents of the package are given in the instructions in the box. The second generation of the Mazda RX-7 was built from the mid-1980s and is told apart from its predecessor by a body that is at once more angular and more rounded, with pop-up headlights. Power came from a Wankel rotary engine, that is a design with a triangular rotor instead of pistons - a compact, low-set and high-revving unit that gave the car a low center of gravity and balanced weight distribution. It is precisely those qualities that made the FC3S a favorite basis for sporting and drift conversions. BN Sports is a Japanese maker of body kits whose style is marked by strongly widened fenders, deep side skirts and a low silhouette, common on the Japanese drift scene.
A widened body means more parting seams, which have to be leveled so that the transitions read as a single molding. Fill and sand the seams and only then apply a primer, which will show up any discrepancies. Spray the paint in thin coats; on tuned versions saturated shades and a polished gloss clear coat often come into play. Finish the interior, the engine bay and the suspension before you close the body up. The wheels and tires make a large contribution to the final impression - take care over the correct offset and a straight stance. Apply sponsor decals onto a gloss base and fix them with clear once dry.
