Aber – a late muzzle brake for the German 8.8 cm barrel, the late Tiger I and the Tiger II (Henschel turret) (1:16) is a turned metal replacement for the muzzle brake for a faithful detail on a model.
Responsibility details are not available.
This turned metal muzzle brake from the Polish maker Aber in 1:16 scale replaces the plastic muzzle brake on a barrel of 8.8 cm caliber. The late form matches the Tiger I tank in the late form and the Tiger II tank with the Henschel turret. It is not a model but a detail accessory with a faithful profile and clean ports.
The muzzle brake damped the recoil of the gun of 8.8 cm caliber and is among the conspicuous elements at the end of the barrel. The late form differs from the early one in the shape and the arrangement of the ports, which matters for a faithful model.
Separate the metal part and fit it onto the barrel with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). The turned version will ensure an accurate profile and clean ports. Degrease the metal, apply a primer and a matte metal paint with the staining left by propellant gases.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package.
