A resin set of triangular nuts for German Second World War vehicles, 1:16 scale — small fastening details, not a kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of very small resin castings replacing the characteristic triangular nuts that appear in a number of places on German Second World War vehicles. This is purely a detailing accessory, not a kit and not a conversion set.
The triangular nut is one of those elements that keep coming back in photographs: it holds tool clamps, plates, brackets and other fittings on the hull, so there are a great many of them all over one machine. And because they sit on visible surfaces, it is precisely they that make the surface of a model rich. A plastic kit molds them at the same time as the plate they sit on, so they come out low and with soft corners — and if you sand a seam near them, they disappear altogether. In a large scale, meanwhile, a nut has distinctly sharp corners and a head standing proud of its seat.
These are the smallest parts cast in resin, so have a tray with a raised edge, tweezers with fine points and a new blade ready. First wash the castings in warm water with detergent, then cut them off the casting frame with a drawing motion; never snap them off. They are glued to the model with a spot of cyanoacrylate glue applied with a pin — a drop from the bottle would drown the nut. It helps to mark the position lightly beforehand and to seat the nuts one at a time.
The accessory is supplied unpainted. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
