A resin figure of a young female photographer in civilian clothes, intended for modern scenes. The package consists of unpainted castings of the figure divided into torso, head and limbs, two digital SLR cameras and a photo-etched sheet from which you assemble a strap over the shoulder. It is precisely the thin metal strap that makes the figure believable, because in resin it would have to be disproportionately thick. The master was created by digital sculpting and printing, so it has clean folds in the clothing and a finely sculpted face. It is made by the Korean company DEF Model.
The 1:20 scale corresponds to large figures and models of cars, so Diana suits scenes in the racing pits, a model of a car on a display area, a city scene and the role of a civilian figure at the edge of a press scene. In a diorama she does the job that photographers do in reality: she gives the viewer a cue about where to look and creates a story around the main model.
Wash the castings in warm soapy water, cut the casting blocks off and wet-sand the surfaces with respiratory protection. Glue both the resin and the photo-etched parts with cyanoacrylate glue. Anneal the photo-etched strap over a flame before bending it, because it will soften and stop springing back; bend it in a bending tool or between two razor blades. Apply a primer to both the metal and the resin. Civilian clothing allows freedom, but paint the flesh in layers from a darker base to the highlights. Tone the body of the camera dark gray and finish the lens with a drop of gloss varnish, which imitates glass.
The figure is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
