Turned metal barrels for the Japanese 12.7 cm/40 Type 89 gun in 1:200 scale from the Polish brand MASTER. It is not a ship model but a detail accessory: eight precisely machined barrels of 127 mm caliber that will replace the plastic parts of a ship kit.
The 12.7 cm/40 Type 89 gun was the standard dual-purpose (anti-aircraft and anti-ship) gun of the Imperial Japanese Navy in the Second World War. In twin mountings it armed battleships, aircraft carriers and cruisers.
The metal barrels have a faithful muzzle and do not warp as plastic does. Separate them carefully, level the seating face and glue them on with cyanoacrylate. Degrease the metal before painting and use a base coat (primer).
This is a detail accessory, not a standalone model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
