An injection-molded plastic kit of the light Nissan 720 (Datsun Truck) pickup in a period custom form from the early 1980s, in 1:24 scale from the Japanese company Aoshima. The kit, from the range of tuned cars, captures the style of the Californian custom scene: a raised chassis in the lift-up style, period accessories and nostalgic detail. The box usually offers variants of grilles and bumpers, square mirrors, a surfboard, a sports exhaust, seats and several steering wheel variants along with wheels of various sizes.
The Nissan 720 was a utility pickup built at the turn of the 1970s and 1980s, popular on the North American market under the Datsun brand as well. Thanks to its simple and durable design it became a favorite basis for custom conversions, from raised off-road styles to low street versions.
Glue the plastic with liquid modeling cement, treat the pickup body with a base coat and spray it with an airbrush. The cargo bed and the chassis can be brought out with a patina, and the chrome trim and accessories stand out once the parting lines are cleaned up. Use a gloss clear coat under the decals.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
