The portable advertising sign of the kind that stands on the pavement in front of shops and cafes, in German a Kundenstopper, literally a customer stopper. This variant in 1:24 scale from the manufacturer MAiM is deliberately left without printing: the blank surfaces are ready for your own graphics, so the sign adapts to any scene.
It is precisely the blank surface that is the greatest advantage. Print your own poster reduced to scale and glue it into the frame, paint up the offer of the day as if on a chalkboard, or leave the sign dirty and papered over with the remains of old posters. The same prop will therefore serve in front of a bakery in a quiet street scene, at a gas station beside a car in 1:24 scale and as a silent witness in an abandoned post-apocalyptic town.
Clean the casting up, prime it and spray the frame in a basic shade; white, black or metallic tones look believable. Lighten the edges gently with a dry brush and scuff them with a sponge, so that the stand looks used. Even the inserted graphics out with the surroundings using a matte clear coat; an outdoor scene suits a light dusting at ground level.
The prop is supplied unpainted and without printing. Paints and graphics are not included in the package.
