It is not a kit of equipment and not a figure, but a terrain element: four barrels modeled so that they do not stand free on the surface but are partly sunk into the base. The manufacturer gives the number of pieces directly in the name — there are four in the package. Check the contents of the package once it arrives.
Buried barrels solve a practical problem of building a scene. A free-standing barrel has to be settled onto a base so that it does not look as if it were merely touching it; a sunken casting has the transition into the ground solved by its very shape, so it is enough to fill the surroundings in and work them over. At the same time they give a scene action: a barrel sunk into mud or sand looks like something that has lain there a long time, not like a freshly placed prop. They come into their own at abandoned positions, in yards, on dumps and in postapocalyptic scenes.
Wash the parts in lukewarm soapy water and let them dry, cut off the remains of the gates and any supports and level the surfaces with a file and fine abrasive paper wet and with respiratory protection; glue resin and printed parts with super glue. Seat the barrels into the base before applying the terrain material, so that the transition is not visible. Build the painting up from the bottom: the base shade, then irregular patches of chipped paint with a thin brush or a sponge, and only then the rust. Mix the rust from two or three tones so that it does not look uniform, and let it run down the wall of the barrel with a thinned wash. Dust the lower part, where the barrel enters the ground, with the same pigment as the base — that finally makes the accessory grow together with the scene.
The accessories are supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and a base are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
