The Corolla Levin of the AE86 generation was built in the middle of the 1980s and it can be told from the sister model Sprinter Trueno at first glance: the Levin has fixed main headlights set into the nose, the Trueno pop-up ones. Under the hood worked an inline four-cylinder of 1.6 liters with two camshafts in the head and sixteen valves, the power went to the rear wheels and the car stayed light. Before finishing, wash the body with lukewarm water and detergent, so that residues of release agent from the mold disappear. Sand the parting seams on the fenders and pillars down and even the surface out with a filler primer, otherwise you will see them under a glossy finish. Apply the paint with an airbrush in several thin layers and let it dry through properly; only then do gloss varnish and the decals come in turn. Build and paint the interior and the chassis before you close the body up. Glue the glazing with cement for clear parts, so that it does not go dull.
