Plastic kit of the Japanese Mitsubishi Galant GTO sports coupe in its top 2000GSR form, in the late shape of 1976, in 1:24 scale from the Japanese manufacturer Hasegawa. With its range of retro coupes and sedans Hasegawa has long devoted itself to the Japanese classics that other makers pass over, and the Galant GTO is among the most striking of them.
The Galant GTO is a two-door hardtop with a long nose and a cut-off tail in the style of American fastbacks, built in the 1970s. The top 2000GSR version received a two-liter four-cylinder engine and sporting equipment; a characteristic feature is the tail with its pronounced pressing and a set of four round lamps. In Japan the GTO became an icon of the era when the domestic brands first aimed confidently at sporting customers.
Spray the body in thin coats over a base primer and give it a gloss top coat, and polish it if you like. The chrome window frames can be handled with alcohol-based chrome-effect markers or with foil; on the round tail lamps a little clear red lacquer helps to give depth. A half-dry brush and a fine wash on the articulated surfaces of the dashboard will bring the interior to life.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
