The Aoshima plastic kit in 1:24 scale captures the Nissan Skyline with the factory code ECR33 in the GTS25t Type M version of 1994. The model is supplied to be glued and painted. Go through the contents of the box and the number of parts against the enclosed instructions once unpacked.
The Skyline of the R33 generation came onto the market in 1993 and against the previous generation grew into a longer and roomier body. The GTS25t Type M version stood in the range below the top all-wheel-drive model: it had a turbocharged inline six-cylinder engine of the RB family of two and a half liters and rear-wheel drive, which made it a popular basis for sporting driving and for later modifications. The Type M differed from the basic grades in a larger diameter of wheels and brakes and in appearance additions. It is exactly this combination of rear drive and a turbocharged six that keeps the car popular to this day.
The body of the R33 has long straight sides, on which every imperfection shows, so thorough sanding and a filler primer earn their place. Glue with thin cement for plastic, only as much as will not be squeezed out onto a painted area. Apply the paint with an airbrush in thin coats and run clear varnish over the finished paint, under which decals will leave no edge. Finish the engine bay and the interior separately and fit them before the body is closed. Bring details such as the grilles, the handles and the light surrounds up with a fine brush or with a paneliner, which runs into the engraved lines.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
