The miniature matches a racing bucket seat from the Recaro Pro Racer line, that is a type fitted in real motorsport into rally and circuit cars. Against an ordinary seat you recognize it by its tall bolsters, a tall backrest and pass-throughs for a multi-point harness.
Recaro is among the best-known suppliers of seats for racing and road cars alike, and the Pro Racer line is its circuit bucket-seat range. It is exactly this type of seat that appears in builds of Japanese and European specials, so it suits anywhere a cabin is meant to be plainly modified rather than production.
Rid the casting of grease in a lukewarm bath with detergent, cut the casting blocks off with a sharp scalpel and level the surface with fine abrasive paper. Apply the base shade in thin coats, so that the stitched seams stay readable. On the real subject the bolsters tend to be covered in a different fabric than the center of the cushion, so a two-color division looks believable. Draw the belts in last of all, so that their run suits the finished cabin.
