This is a resin set of replacement wheels, not a model of the aircraft. It holds detailed main landing gear wheels for the American P-47D Thunderbolt fighter in 1:24 scale. The set 3 variant has its own execution and tire tread different from the other sets. The tread is faithfully defined and comes with a hinted weighted sag, and the hubs are cast with sharp detail. The wheels are intended for the Kinetic kit.
The Republic P-47D Thunderbolt was a heavy, rugged American fighter of the Second World War with a powerful radial engine. It made its mark as an escort fighter and as a fighter-bomber attacking ground targets.
The resin wheels replace the plastic parts from the kit and raise the realism of the landing gear. Several variants make it possible to pick the tread to suit one particular subject.
Wash the parts free of mold release agent, cut off the casting blocks and glue with cyanoacrylate glue. Paint the tires matte black-gray, the hubs in the color of the aircraft, and bring them out with a wash. The flattening where the tire meets the surface makes it easier to seat the model on a base.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package.
