A plastic kit in 1:24 scale from the Japanese manufacturer Hasegawa, from its line of historic cars. The model captures the Toyota Celica 1600GT in racing configuration. It is a curbside version without engine detail: the body is molded in light-colored plastic, and the package contains chrome-plated parts, clear parts for the glazing, rubber tires and decals. Glue and paints are not included in the package.
The first-generation Celica is among the classics of Japanese sports motoring of the 1970s. The 1600GT version was powered by an inline four-cylinder twin-cam engine. The racing configuration added wider fenders, racing wheels and other modifications derived from the car's circuit career.
Use liquid modeling cement on the plastic joints. Paint the body over a surfacer with a gloss coat, ideally with an airbrush. Apply the racing sponsor decals and the race numbers over a smooth gloss surface and seal them with a clear coat. Treat the chrome parts carefully.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
