The Probox is a small utility station wagon built above all for business and service use — a low floor, a flat load area and an emphasis on durability rather than comfort. The generation of the XP16 series was introduced in August 2014 as a more marked update of the earlier XP5 series. It brought a newly shaped front end with a multifaceted motif and looks more robust than the earlier form. In Japan the Probox is one of the most widespread utility vehicles and a typical item of the streets there, which makes it a popular subject among modelers who build everyday Japanese vehicles.
First rid the body of the mold parting lines and sand it down, then apply a primer. Utility vehicles most often appear in simple single-color shades, so the result lives or dies by the evenness of the spraying and by the gloss. Spray the base color in thin coats and, once it has dried, varnish it over with a gloss varnish that can be polished out. Stick the masking stickers enclosed on exactly along the outline of the frames and spray the black with a matte paint. Finish the interior and the chassis before you close the body up. Do not glue the tires with an ordinary cement for plastic, which damages the soft material. Apply the decals over a gloss base.
