This is a precisely turned metal gun barrel of the German 7.5 cm PaK 40 anti-tank gun in 1:25 scale from the manufacturer RB model, in the version for the self-propelled tank destroyers of the Marder series. The gun barrel has a faithful profile and a sharp muzzle and replaces the plastic part of the basic kit without any need to clean up mold seams.
The 7.5 cm PaK 40 was the standard German anti-tank gun of the Second World War. In its self-propelled form it was carried by the light tank destroyers of the Marder series, built on the chassis of captured and of domestic vehicles. The long gun barrel with the muzzle brake is characteristic of this weapon.
Degrease the metal gun barrel and treat it with a primer for metals before painting. Watch the alignment when fitting it into the gun mount. Metal takes fine sanding and polishing and imitates the steel surface of the weapon faithfully.
