German tool clamps – the early type up to 1943 (1:25) is an Aber photo-etched set for faithfully mounting the tools on models of German vehicles.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of fine photo-etched metal parts from the Polish maker Aber in 1:25 scale. It contains imitations of the clamps, clasps and brackets for the tools of the early type, as used on German vehicles up to 1943. It is not a model but an accessory that replaces the coarse plastic clamps on the fenders and the hull with thin, faithful metal parts. It is a new release from the maker.
German armored and wheeled vehicles alike carried shovels, pickaxes, pry bars and other tools on the outside, held in characteristic clamps. The early type of clamp differed from the later form; this set matches the form used up to 1943 and suits models from that period.
Separate the parts on a hard surface, bend them along the etched score lines and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue. The clamps look best with the tools in their working position. Degrease and prime the metal before painting.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
