Films for the glazing and the national insignia of the Bf 109G-6 in 1:32 scale, with a pair of metal machine gun barrels in the package as well.

The sixth version of the Bf 109 did not stay with home units alone. It flew in Hungarian, Romanian, Croatian, Slovak, Bulgarian and Finnish colors and some of the machines appeared in Spain after the war. That is precisely why this type is rewarding among modelers: one and the same airframe carries completely different finishes and national insignia. On the wing, notice the small bulges over the landing gear bays, called for by the larger main wheels, and on tropical machines also the dust filter fitted to the supercharger intake.
Inside there are two masks for the glazing for the outer as well as the inner side, a pair of insignia films with them and two turned parts corresponding to the machine gun barrels.
A real barrel was neither glossy nor silver but dark, toward blue-gray, because the steel was surface-treated against corrosion. A modeler can imitate that in two ways and both count on the part being metal. Either graphite or metal powder is rubbed into it, which holds on the smooth surface and can be polished with a cloth to a deep shine. Or a liquid blackening agent for non-ferrous metals is used, into which the degreased part is dipped for a few dozen seconds and which colors it chemically, that is without any added layer. The second route has the advantage of preserving even the finest turning grooves, which paint would fill. Whatever you choose, let the part rest afterwards and do not touch it with bare fingers.
