This set belongs among accessories, not among kits. Quinta Studio is a brand that prints interior details three-dimensionally and already in color and puts them on decal paper. The result is a part that has genuine depth but is applied like a conventional waterslide decal, that is without gluing, sanding and without hand painting of small instruments. The set is intended for the large 1:32 scale, where the cockpit is clearly visible once finished and where detail pays off. The target kit is Trumpeter.
The Republic F-105G Thunderchief was a two-seat specialist of the American tactical air arm intended for finding and suppressing ground-based air defenses. It was derived from the two-seat combat-capable trainer version F-105F and carried electronics for locating radars as well as anti-radar armament. The single-engine Thunderchief, powered by a Pratt & Whitney J75 turbojet, was among the largest and heaviest single-engine combat aircraft of its day and was built above all for a fast low-level penetration with a large bomb load.
The surface under the decals has to be smooth and glossy, otherwise silvering forms under the print. Cut the parts close to the edge, soak them in clean lukewarm water and move them into place with a brush, not with your fingers. Decal softener and decal setting solution do not belong on three-dimensional parts; their chemicals would damage the printed resin. Under the instrument panels and side consoles it is good to even the plastic out in advance with a dark color so that it does not show through. Once dry, the whole thing can be fixed with a matte or semi-gloss varnish.
This is an accessory, not a model. The base kit, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
