A set of wet transfers with the markings of squadron VF-17 machines for a model of the F4U-1A Corsair aircraft in 1:32 scale, part 3.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Vought F4U-1A Corsair was an American carrier fighter of the Second World War with a characteristic inverted gull wing. Among the squadrons that flew it was the US Navy unit VF-17, nicknamed the Jolly Rogers, and it is at its machines that this set is aimed.
This is a set of wet transfers in 1:32 scale, that is markings transferred to a finished model by the wet method. The set is listed as part 3, so it follows on from the previous parts of the series. The scope of the sheet and the list of machines that can be made from it are given in the manufacturer's instructions.
Apply the markings only to a finished painted surface that is dry, smooth and degreased. The element is laid in place, moistened and the backing paper is removed after a moment. Wet transfers differ in procedure from ordinary decals, so follow the manufacturer's instructions and do not try to soak them in water like a decal sheet. Work one element at a time, do not touch them with wet fingers and adjust the position with a soft brush. Let the finished markings dry undisturbed, and only then clear-coat them if you wish.
The set is for modelers who are building the Corsair in a large scale and want accurate markings. The model of the aircraft, paints, clear coat and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
