Fabric 1:32 — HGW fabric covering decor (wet transfer)

This is a sheet of wet transfers, not a kit. HGW has printed a fine texture of covering cloth (linen) on it that you transfer onto the covering, the wings, the fuselage and the control surfaces of a model. The result is a faithful impression of stitched fabric stretched over the ribs, which is hard to get right with paint alone. The 1:32 scale matches large models of First World War aircraft, which had mostly fabric covering.

Use

• Go over the base with gloss varnish so that the transfer adheres without silvered edges.
• Cut out the piece, moisten it in lukewarm water and move it onto the surface; align the direction of the seams with the ribs.
• Wipe off the water and the bubbles with a soft cloth, or use a decal softener.
• Once dry, go over it with matte varnish and blend it with the surrounding finish.
