HGW 1:32 F.E.2b - surface details is a set of brass photo-etched parts for refining the external surface of a model of the British biplane F.E.2b. It is not a kit but a detail accessory.
Responsibility details are not available.
A brass photo-etched set from HGW in 1:32 scale aimed at the external surface details of a model of the British aircraft Royal Aircraft Factory F.E.2b. It holds fine parts of the kind a plastic mold cannot capture faithfully - access covers, fittings, handholds and other small elements of the fuselage and the supporting structure. It is an accessory to a plastic model, and the set does not hold the kit itself.
The F.E.2b was a British two-seat machine with a pusher propeller and the engine placed behind the crew. The observer sat in the front nacelle and had an excellent view as well as field of fire. The type served in the First World War as a fighter, a reconnaissance and a night bombing aircraft and it became famous for its toughness in combat.
The photo-etched parts are separated from the fret with a sharp knife on a cutting mat, shaped with a bender or a ruler and glued with cyanoacrylate glue. Before painting it is worth degreasing the metal and going over it with a base coat for better adhesion.
This is a detail accessory, not a complete model. The aircraft kit itself, glue and paints are not included in the package.
