A figure of a pilot of the German or Austro-Hungarian air service of the First World War in 1:32 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The airmen of the First World War flew in open cockpits, and their kit matched that: a long leather coat or a short jacket, a leather helmet, goggles and gloves. The German and the Austro-Hungarian air service resembled each other in this respect, as both camps were dealing above all with the cold and the airflow at altitude. That is exactly why the figure suits a whole range of biplanes of both sides.
A model of an aircraft without a crew reads as static and a viewer judges its size less well. A figure beside the fuselage or in the cockpit gives a model both scale and story, whether you stand it by a parked machine in a diorama or seat it directly in the cockpit. In 1:32 scale even the small details of the face and the folds of the clothing stand out.
Before painting, wash the figure in lukewarm water with detergent and let it dry, so that the paint holds. Cut excess material off with a sharp blade a little off the part and sand the rest back. Paint in layers from darker tones to lighter ones, and finish the face only at the end.
For builders of First World War aircraft in 1:32 scale and for makers of dioramas who want a living person in a scene.
The model of the aircraft, paints and glue are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
